My US visa interview on Wednesday didn't go through.
Frustrated, I decided to visit Seoul for the weekend.

Overall, it didn't feel as fun as Jeju Island.
The historical sites were rather ordinary,
after all, Gyeongbokgung Palace doesn't compare to a Ming Dynasty prince's palace.
It rained,
and I ended up with muddy shoes.

I visited the National Palace Museum of Korea.
It felt odd, as the imperial edicts, books, and texts inside were all in Chinese characters.
Local Koreans couldn't understand them, yet I, a foreigner, could read everything.
It was a mix of feelings.

You can visit the Blue House (Cheong Wa Dae) now, but remember to bring your passport.

Yeongjong Island is also very beautiful. I enjoyed a cup of coffee and took some stunning silhouette photos at night.

I made wishes at Seonamsa Temple in Seoul and Daeseongsa Temple under the eight great mountains of Suwon.

Wishing everyone great luck in the Dragon Year of 2024!
