My "Travel Study" Summary of 2023

The year 2023 was an opportunity that allowed me to realize a "travel study" plan that I had previously hardly imagined, especially without affecting my work and income. Starting from September 2023, I visited many places, finally living the way I dreamt of as a child, being able to have both money and leisure. Here's a brief summary for future reminiscence. (For privacy, I've omitted specific dates)

In late August 2023, I embarked on a travel study to Beijing. Although it wasn't my first visit to Beijing, this time I had more ample time and visited many places I hadn't been to before.

In late September 2023, I was in Qingdao, Shandong - it was the first time for a child from the south to deeply experience the beach.

In October 2023, I watched a light show in Shenzhen.

In October 2023, I visited popular attractions in Hong Kong

In October 2023, I ate barbecue in Zibo. Hmm, it was okay, but not exceptionally amazing.

In October 2023, I visited the estuary in Dongying, seeing for the first time the vast reed marshes.

In October 2023, I climbed Mount Tai, which was really exhausting (taking the cable car would have been more suitable for my physical condition).

In October 2023, I visited Mount Laojun in Luoyang. (The beauty of the place exceeded my expectations, it was fantastic.)

In October 2023, I paid a visit to the Song Tombs in Gongyi, hoping for the blessings of my ancestors.

November 2023, trip to Kaifeng. (The unforgettable highlights were the iron-flower performance in the Great Song Martial Arts City and the dreamlike beauty of Dongjing Meng Hua in the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, which moved me to tears.)

November 2023, I was in Nanjing. (The scenic area around the Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum was beautiful.)

November 2023, Shanghai's Citywalk.

December 2023, trip to Jeju Island.

December 2023, Yungang Grottoes and Datong in the snow.

December 2023, Handan and Anyang.

January 2024, a trip to Suzhou and Hangzhou. (The best experience was in Wuzhen!)

January 2024, Seoul, South Korea. (It was ordinary, just accompanying a friend.)

January 2024, Xi'an. (The Terracotta Army was stunning, and I didn't finish walking along the Xi'an City Wall, haha.)

That's essentially my travel study experience during this period. Having such a tranquil and beautiful time in life is indeed a blessing!

If I could have another similar period after 2023, that would be fantastic!
