Unfortunately, there were no wheat fields.
Many people were picking peanuts in the fields.
I heard that it will gradually be transformed into a park.
I really like these stone statues that blend into daily life,
silently watching over the people living on this land,
and the historical sites that have survived various calamities.
Many of the Song Tombs in Gongyi are located in the suburbs. Although they were looted in the early years, many stone statues still remain, allowing close-up encounters with these traces of time.
Since I visited in late October, the harvest in the fields was already over. If it had been a golden wheat field, it would have been even more beautiful.
There were signs marking the Song Tombs conservation area, and behind them were local people harvesting peanuts.
This is the only ancient-style restored Song Tomb in the Gongyi city area, now a free public park.
